KPI’s and dashboards
Most companies are functional but it’s not always clear just how (dis)functional they are. KPI’s and dashboards can help answering this question. However, setting up good KPI’s and creating a good dashboard is not always as easy as it may sound. Over the years I’ve found that companies and their employees, even with years of experience, are unsure of what they should measure or how they should do this. Being really thorough and asking the right questions can help in finding out how to go about this.
A thing to watch out for is to not overload your employees with KPI’s and dashboards. I believe that sticking to the basics is a very good way to start. Having the most important data available and start managing based on that. Once people get used to this new way of working, room for expansion will start to form.
I can offer these KPI’s and dashboards based on the information from within your systems. This can be realtime dashboards used for steering daily operations and shifting FTE from one to another department or it can be daily dashboard more useful for monitoring long term progress.
