About me

My name is Nard Cox, I was born the 25th of January 1986 in Swolgen. I currently live with my partner and 2 children in Horst in a house that we designed and build ourselves over the course of two years. During my free time I like spending time with my family or practicing one of my hobbies. I do some racing in my simulator, play some padel, take my mountainbike in the woods or I do some weight lifting. I also keep up with the latest green and technological trends. I’ve started The Logition in 2023 to share my knowledge with others and gain more of a challenge in my work.

How I do business

I run my business with some core values which I strongly believe in and I uphold at all times.

Honesty is the first pillar. I believe that being honest will yield the best long term results. If I can’t do something I will tell you that I can’t do it. There is no point in saying I can do it and afterwards disappointing everyone involved. It’s not always the easiest path, but it’s always the right one.

Quality over quantity. There is no point in delivering quality that doesn’t meet the requirements since this will only lead to additional work (and frustration) afterwards. Sometime quality takes longer than expected, in these cases it’s important to be honest about it and communicate this clearly to all stakeholders.

There is no better gift than sharing. Keeping information or specific knowledge to yourself might serve you in the short term but never will in the long term. I believe that sharing the knowledge I have will benefit my customers the most.

I should have fun with what I’m doing, life is too short to do something that you don’t like. Also when you are having fun you are more energized and you will produce more and better quality of work.

What drives me?

Below my “Inner Spark” as described by the LuminaSpark test I completed December 2021. This might give a bit more insight into who I am, how I work and what my strengths and weaknesses are. Use this information to make a first judgement if I might be a good fit to help out or not.

A logical approach involves breaking down a process and analyzing each and every step taken. You are rarely satisfied accepting a solution until you understand the underlying logic involved in its formulation. You use your strong critical thinking skills in debate, and are known for finding weaknesses in arguments presented to you.
You find it very important to maintain objectivity at all times, even if that means presenting people with flaws in their line of reasoning. This can lead others to view you as a shrewd and calculating figure, whose approval carries with it a very high worth.

Your logical mind makes it easier for you to make difficult decisions, even when they may step on people’s toes. You can look straight at the facts of the matter and determine the right choice. Knowing that you tend to make decisions objectively, disregarding personal preference means others are less likely to be offended when you do.

Some may have accused you of putting process above the needs of your team. This can simply be because you are looking ahead to the end results that will be better for everyone in the long-term. You are not really concerned about offending people; as long as you are only speaking the truth they should have no reason to be offended.

You are a thoroughly practical person, Nard. You enjoy nothing more than getting to grips with how things work, and you are known as very realistic and grounded. People come to you for down to earth advice, knowing you have little patience for vague “management speak”.

You often find you are quickly able to pick out the weak points in a proposed solution to a problem, especially when considering its practical application. You have a knack for working out where things could go wrong. When you are done vetting a plan it will be all the more tough and robust for your intervention.

Despite your preference for the concrete and tangible, you are also able to engage with others on a conceptual level. You recognize the importance of the big picture, and readily see the merit in long term and far-reaching ideas. That is, so long as those ideas have a chance of working in reality. When you bring both the big picture and the hard data to bear on a single project, you possess a rare capability of both understanding and finding effective ways to implement some of the most complex plans.
